

Durham Dragons Special Hockey has been renamed to
Durham Region Special Hockey. While our official name has changed slightly, we will continue to be known as the Dragons. Durham Region Special Hockey is registered as a charity under the Income Tax Act.
Objective: To provide an opportunity for individuals with developmental challenges to participate in the game of hockey when ineligible or unable to participate in an existing program due to his or her ability.
Goals: To enhance the players gross motor and social skills, confidence and ability to play the game.
Player Eligibility: Any gender with the ability to learn to skate, and are at least 6 years old. Skating and hockey skills come with practice…..Lots and Lots of practice.
Support: Beyond the players, the heart of the Durham Dragons is the core of volunteers who coach, keep time, referee, organize, supervise and fundraise to successfully run the organization year after year.
